So when it's time to sell, you want to make sure your camper ends up at a good home, and in the right hands. Additionally, times have changed, and these days selling a niche vehicle isn't easy, cheap, or always comfortable for the seller...First of all, pricing them isn't easy...and you probably don't want Facebook or Craigsl List resellers and flippers showing up at your home wasting your time, poking around in your engine bay, kicking your tires, and then offering you half of your asking price. Furthermore, in the spirit of being a good VW-Camper Owner, you want to make sure that your camper is road ready for it's next family and their adventures without a worry of soon-to-be mechanical issues. This is where we come in. We inspect your camper, recommend repairs (if any) and make it safe and sound for it's next voyage. For over 20 years now that's all we have been doing...finding good Pre-Loved campers new adventures with new families. Consigning with PTH ensures that together we have and will do our best to pass on a trouble-free camper on to it's new owners, giving you peace of mind, and avoiding troubles for everyone down the road. 

Shipping: We arrange and coordinate insured shipping directly to our dealership, and can ship a sold Camper to literally anywhere on the planet!

Paperwork: We handle all the transfer paperwork, including title, registration, and license plates for the new owners (plates for California sales only). 

We do the Heavy-Lifting: Selling a vehicle is a time-consuming process, with lots of back-and-forth if you're a private party. Here at PTH we do the leg, foot, and hard handiwork so you don't have to lift a finger (Other than signing your title and depositing your check).

We currently have a long list of people looking for specific VW campers with specific attributes so sometimes, a consignment sells literally overnight. Also, it doesn't hurt that we get over 15,000 unique VW enthusiasts/visitors to our website each month. We also get interested VW Camper Lovers from all over the planet, so instead of advertising locally, you'll have access to a potential purchaser from literally everywhere around the world!

Setting an appropriate asking price for your camper is important. And, it can be confusing as well, with prices all over the board. It's important for your asking price to be realistic, and to trust our advice and guidance once we have run it through our inspections. You will notice our website camper pricing is generally a little bit above an average private party listing. This is because our PTH Approved Campers offered are reconditioned, repaired, and come with a three month warranty/service contract included in the sale for the buyer that we pay for. That's 'Peace Of Mind' built right into the sale. You may ask whatever you like but please keep in mind, asking price can affect selling time. We do require your asking price on the consignment agreement. Our customers know that our listed prices are pretty static (firm), but we will also present any reasonable offers we receive to you for your consideration. 

The only deductions from your asking price will be as follows: If we pay for transport to our location, this fee will be deducted from your asking price. (We can arrange and pay to have the vehicle delivered to us on a fully-insured transport truck from anywhere in the USA). Once it arrives, we will perform a full inspection (over 300 points), and recommend any repairs to you for approval. All these costs will be made clear to you, so everything is transparent. All necessary repairs required to bring vehicle up to the minimum safety requirements for a vehicle sale by a dealer in the State of California must be performed. These repairs will be deducted from your asking price. We will provide you with a written estimate if any repairs are required. A detailing/hazmat fee will also be applied in most cases, this fee is $300. Again, these steps make sure you are passing along a clean and mechanically sound camper to the next family which is great peace of mind! 

First Step: Let us know what you have by filling out the form below.

Second: After you have submitted the form we will take a look and let you know if we think we're a good fit for each other. 

Third: You're approved! If we both decide we're going to make a great team, we will send you the OK and the next steps. This includes: You getting your van sparkly clean (if we're not taking care of that for you) and PTH aranging a transport truck to pick it up if you're not dropping it off in person. 

Last: You sit back and wait to hear from us about a buyer! We will send periodic updates, but usually only when we have some solid details of an offer.
